Russian plane delivers five people from Crimea to Moscow for treatment

"All of them have various diseases and need urgent high technology medical assistance," Russian Emergencies Ministry said

MOSCOW, August 19. /TASS/. A Russian Emergencies Ministry plane has delivered five people, including four children, from Crimea to Moscow for treatment, the ministry’s press service told TASS on Wednesday.

"All of them have various diseases and need urgent high technology medical assistance," the ministry said, adding that one woman and four children were taken from the Crimean capital, Simferopol, on board an Emergencies Ministry Il-76 plane equipped with special medical modules allowing personnel to provide patients with necessary medical assistance.

During the flight, the five patients were accompanied by medical personnel of the Tsentrospas team and the Health Ministry’s Zashchita Disaster Medicine Center alongside psychologists of the Emergencies Ministry’s Center of Emergency Psychological Aid.

The ministry said the patients' condition had not deteriorated during the flight.
