Russian opposition leader Nemtsov murder probe prolonged till November

The lawyer says he has no doubts that the crime’s masterminds could be tracked down in Chechnya’s capital Grozny

MOSCOW, August 14. /TASS/. The Russian Investigative Committee has prolonged the investigation of opposition leader Boris Nemtsov’s murder, the lawyer of Nemtsov’s family Vadim Prokhorov told TASS on Friday.

"The investigation is prolonged till November 28," Prokhorov said. "Investigators are currently working with perpetrators."

"I have no doubts that the crime’s masterminds could be tracked down in [Chechnya’s capital] Grozny," the lawyer added.

Co-chairman of the Parnas opposition party Boris Nemtsov was shot dead in central Moscow on February 27. Zaur Dadaev whom investigators consider the killer, Khamzat Bakhaev, Anzor Gubashev, Shadid Gubashev and Tamerlan Eskerkhanov have been arrested over Nemtsov’s murder. In April a Moscow court prolonged their custody till August 28.
