Russian missile forces in Kamchatka to hold live-firing exercise to hit targets in Pacific

Over the 300-strong missile personnel arrived at the Capes Skalisty and Tolsty for the drills

MOSCOW, August 13. /TASS/. Missile regiments of the Russian Pacific Fleet’s coastal defense troops based on the Kamchatka Peninsula in the Far East were alerted for military drills, Fleet spokesman, Captain First Rank Roman Martov said on Thursday.

Over the 300-strong missile personnel arrived at the Capes Skalisty and Tolsty for the drills, he said.

"The exercise will end with firing from the Redut and Rubezh missile systems to hit training targets in the Pacific," the Fleet’s spokesman said.
