Nine people die in collision of helicopter, seaplane in Russia

One person is still missing

MOSCOW, August 10. /TASS/. Nine people, including two children, died in a collision of a helicopter and seaplane near Moscow, representative of the Investigative Committee Vladimir Markin said on Monday. One person is still missing, he said.

Markin noted that the Russian Investigative Committee will supervise investigation.

"The helicopter and the seaplane have been lifted, and experts now examine them," he said. "The searchers try to find the body of a man born 1987, who was on board the seaplane."

A Robinson helicopter and a Cessna seaplane collided on August 8.

"Nine people, including two children, died in the collision," the representative said.

Criminal proceedings are underway.

"The main version now is a mistake in piloting," he said.
