KRASNOYARSK, July 23. /TASS/. Russia’s Siberian city of Krasnoyarsk is mourning on Thursday over the eleven people who were killed in Wednesday’s horrible road accident.
"On the day of mourning, all flags in the region will be lowered. Establishments of culture were recommended to refrain from organizing entertainment events," the region’s government said. "The governor, the government and the legislature of the Krasnoyarsk Territory mourn over those killed in the accident and offer sincere condolences to their families."
The accident involving a passenger bus took place in the morning on July 22 on the M-53 Baikal federal highway near the settlement of Shishkovo. Eleven people died instantly, 40 more were injured.
An investigation is underway. The cause of the deadly accident is not yet clear. Two criminal cases have been initiated over the accident.
