Russia’s media watchdog may add YouTube to list of copyright violators

Separate channels on YouTube will be included in the list of copyright violators from 27 July 2015

MOSCOW, July 22. /TASS/. Russia’s media watchdog Roskomnadzor has warned Russian users on Wednesday that separate channels on YouTube will be included in the list of copyright violators from 27 July 2015.

"Notifications that request deleting materials that violate copyright laws have been repeatedly sent to the Internet resource’s administration," Roskomnadzor press service said.

If YouTube does not delete certain material in three days after being notified, the access to the website will be restricted by Internet providers.
