Lithuanian charged with espionage to stay in custody in Moscow till September 20

Lithuanian secret service agent Arstidas Tamosaitis was caught red-handed on May 19 when he received classified documents from a Russian citizen

MOSCOW, July 17. /TASS/. The Moscow Lefortovo has prolonged the custody to Lithuanian secret service agent Arstidas Tamosaitis who is charged with espionage till September 20, the court’s press service said on Friday.

Tamosaitis was arrested on espionage charges by the Lefortovo court on May 20. According to the Russian Federal Security Service, the Lithuanian citizen was caught red-handed on May 19 when he received classified documents from a Russian citizen. He was taken to the FSB office where he confessed to being officer of Lithuania's military intelligence.
