Russian, Saudi military officials focus on defense cooperation

During the meeting, the two military officials discussed a package of topical aspects in the sphere of interaction between the two defense ministries, the press service said in a statement

MOSCOW, July 15. /TASS/. Chairman of the General Staff of the Russian Armed Forces — First Deputy Defense Minister Gen. Valery Gerasimov and Saudi Assistant Defense Minister Mohammed bin Abdullah al-Aish have discussed bilateral interaction in the defense area, the press service of the Russian Defense Ministry said on Wednesday.

"During the meeting, the two military officials discuss a package of topical aspects in the sphere of interaction between the two defense ministries," the press service said in a statement.

Gen. Gerasimov thanked the Saudi Arabian leadership for the participation of its representatives in the Army-2015 International Military-Technical Forum (Moscow Region) and the International Marine Defense Show (St. Petersburg).

Mohammed bin Abdullah al-Aish, in turn, thanked the Russian Defense Ministry for the meeting.
