21 people rescued from under debris of collapsed training centre near Omsk

The accident took place late on Sunday evening at a four-storey training centre of the airborne troops

MOSCOW, July 13. /TASS/. Twenty-one serviceme have been rescued from under the debris at a military training centre near Omsk after the roofing collapse, nineteen of them were taken to hospital, the press centre of the Russian defence ministry said on Sunday.

The accident took place late on Sunday evening at a four-storey training centre of the airborne troops in the Omsk region. There were 337 servicemen inside the building at the moment of the incident. Thirty-eight were buried by the debris. Two servicemen were killed under the debris.

A source in the local police told TASS earlier that the building partially collapsed. No explosion or fire had followed.
