Child injured in paraglide rough landing in Yaroslavl

YAROSLAVL, July 11. /TASS/. A child was injured when a paraglide made a hard landing at the TechnoSport festival underway in the Russian city of Yaroslavl, the regional police spokeswoman said on Saturday.

"A ten-year-old child’s two fingers were torn off when a paraglide landed roughly," Natalia Skubeida said adding an investigation into the causes of the incident would be launched.

The TechnoSport festival kick-started in Yaroslavl some 250 kilometres northeast of Moscow on Saturday, with 500 athletes of 16 sports taking part in it.
