UFA, July 9. /TASS/. Belarus hopes for mutually-advantageous cooperation after its status in the Shanghai Cooperation Organization (SCO) is elevated to observer, Belarusian Foreign Minister Vladimir Makei told the Rossiya 24 TV channel on Thursday.
"We do not intend to go hat in hand to this organization [the SCO]. We want to make our contribution to the organization’s development and take part in the development and implementation of mutually beneficial projects," he said.
He expressed the hope that Belarus would be granted observer status on Friday.
