MOSCOW, July 6. /TASS/. The Sukhoi SU-24M plane has crashed in the Khabarovsk territory, both pilots perished, the press service of the Russian Defence Ministry said.

"Today at 14:35 Moscow Time the Sukhoi Su-24M plane crashed during the takeoff in the area of the Khurba airport (Khabarovsk territory) while performing a scheduled training flight. According to a report from the scene, both pilots died," the ministry said.

The ministry noted that the plane crashed in an uninhabited area, there are no destructions on the ground.

This is the second crash of a Russian military plane over the past few days. On Friday, a Mikoyan Mig-20 fighter jet crashed in the Krasnodar region, but its pilot managed to eject.

The previous accident involving a SU-24 plane occurred in February near Volgograd, the two pilots died at the time.
