NAZRAN, June 25. /TASS/ Security forces in Russia’s North Caucasus Republic of Ingushetia have wiped out two gunmen during a combat operation, the local law enforcement agencies told TASS.
"The operation was conducted in Nazran’s Nasyr-Kort municipal district. The gunmen who were in a private house offered armed resistance and were eliminated by reprisal fire," they said.
A man and a woman were killed. Their identities have not been established yet. Investigators are currently working at the site.
Earlier on Thursday, the republican department of the Russian Federal Security Service (FSB) reported that the counter-terrorism operation regime had been introduced at 04:55 Moscow Time in some parts of Nazran’s Nasyr-Kort municipal district.
