STRELNA, near St Petersburg, June 18. /TASS/. Russia occupies 40% of the world sector of uranium enrichment and it strictly observes all the requirements pertaining to the nuclear nonproliferation regime, Russian President Vladimir Putin said on Thursday as he met with the Director-General of the International Atomic Energy Agency, Yukiya Amano.
"We occupy a solid 40% of the global market in one of the most technologically sophisticated spheres, in the enrichment of uranium," he said. "Everyone knows perfectly well we strictly observe all the issues related to nuclear nonproliferation."
