Russia is eyeing participation of its Sukhoi-35 fighter jet in a bidding contest in Indonesia where multirole fighters will be selected for that country’s Air Force, Sergei Kornev, the chief of the Air Force department at the Russian state weaponry trading corporation Rosoboronexport said on Thursday.

"We’re looking forward to a bidding contest and we’ll take part in it," he told reporters on the sidelines of the annual aerospace show at Le Bourget, adding that the Russian manufacturers and exporters should boost the export capabilities of the Sukhoi-35’s.
