KUBINKA (Moscow region). June 16. /TASS/. Russian weapons are highly sought after on the world market, the order portfolio has been formed for years to come, Russian President Vladimir Putin said on Tuesday at the opening of the Army-2015 international military and technical forum.
"Our weapons and military equipment continue to be highly sought after on the world weapons market, the demand for them has been stable, and the order portfolio has been formed for years to come," the Russian leader said.
Putin noted that the forum in Kubinka in the Moscow region has brought together delegations of 59 countries and representatives of an even greater number of countries. "We hope that during the planned presentations you will be able to once again see with your own eyes high efficiency and reliability of Russian military products and open up new opportunities for long-term contracts," the Russian president told foreign experts.
According to him, the Russian military-industrial complex is ready to offer a whole array of services - from arms supplies to post-guarantee maintenance and personnel training.
"I would like to stress that we are open for cooperation, joint work, for the joint development of prospective weapons samples, for launching promising innovative projects," Putin said.
