Patriarch Kirill calls on Russians to be faithful to their homeland

ARKHANGELSK, June 14. /TASS/. Patriarch of Moscow and All Russia Kirill has called on the Russians to pray for the future of the nation and be really faithful to the homeland.

"We must pray to God asking to calm down the tempests in our land and divert threats facing out fatherland," the Patriarch said on Sunday at the celebrations dedicated to St. John of Kronstadt.

The celebrations in memory of St. John of Kronstadt are being held in his home village of Sura located some 400 kilomtres away from the Russian northwestern city of Arkhangelsk.
