MOSCOW, June 9. /TASS/. Two 15-year-old girls were electrocuted in the southern Russian city of Taganrog after climbing on the roof of a freight train to take a photograph of themselves, investigators said on Tuesday.

The teenagers were "injured with high-voltage electric current" and taken to hospital with burns, an Investigative Committee spokesman said, adding that inquiries had opened into the Monday incident.

In mid-May, an obsession with selfies cost an 18-year-old Romanian girl her life. She also climbed on a train and touched a cable, sending 27,000 volts through her body, The Daily Mirror reported in London.
