MOSCOW, May 30. /TASS/. Italian Foreign Minister Paolo Gentiloni is due to pay a working visit to Russia on May 31-June 1 and meet with his Russian counterpart Sergey Lavrov, the Russian Foreign Ministry said on Saturday.
"During the talks on June 1, the foreign ministers will pay serious attention to a joint search for additional opportunities to assist the settlement of the inter-Ukrainian conflict based on the full compliance with the February 12, 2015 Minsk agreements," the ministry said.
Lavrov and Gentiloni will also focus on other issues on the international agenda, including the situation in Syria and around Iran’s nuclear program, and also Russia’s relations with the EU and NATO.
"The ministers will discuss core issues of the Russian-Italian ties in the political, economic and cultural spheres and also in line with civil societies," the ministry said in a statement.
