Russia’s state defense procurement order grows to $31 bln in 2014

MOSCOW, May 29. /TASS/. Russia’s state defense procurement order in 2014 grew by 1.25 times year-on-year reaching 1.6 trillion rubles ($31 billion), Russian Deputy Defense Minister Yuri Borisov has told Rossiya 24 TV channel.

When the Russian state armament program up to 2020 was launched, it was implemented at 84 or 85%, and 157 out of 3,100 measures under the program were not fulfilled on time due to some reasons, he said.

"At the moment, the majority of these measures have been implemented, and over 97% of all the commitments in 2014 have been already confirmed. All the other measures will be completed in the third or fourth quarter [of the year]," he said.
