Four years of Agency for Strategic Initiatives’ work were "not in vain" — Putin

MOSCOW, May 27. /TASS/. Russia’s President Vladimir Putin has praised the results the Agency for Strategic Initiatives archived in the first four years of its work.

Speaking at a meeting of the agency’s supervisory board he said that the agency had managed to form "a real team of development" in four years.

According to the president "these four years were not in vain."

"The main thing is that you manage to unite brilliant, energetic people, experts, representatives of public organizations. A real team of development," Putin said.

The head of state said that the agency should first of all keep the balance between supporting specific projects and participation in solving general issues of economic and social development.

The key indicator of the effectiveness of ASI is the national rating of investment climate in the region, the president said.

"We are now getting down to this work. We see what is going on in certain regions, the difference is very large and of course we should bring to light the best practices and to contribute to their introduction," the president said.

The Agency for Strategic Initiatives to Promote New Projects (Agency for Strategic Initiatives) is the autonomous non-profit organization established by the Russian government in order to implement set of measures in economic and social spheres.

According to the agency’s website it operates since August 11, 2011. The mission of the agency is to create opportunities for self-actualization of young ambitious leaders capable of bringing Russia to the frontline, building the country to live and work.
