The cluster should appear by 2017

MOSCOW, May 20. /TASS/. A cluster that will bring together several companies, creating underwater robots for military and civilian use, will be created in Russia’s Far East by 2017, CEO and General Designer of the JSC Concern Morinformsystem - Agat Georgy Antsev told TASS on Wednesday.

"Our task today is to create a cluster of underwater robots and robotic systems in the Far East. Now we are working to make this cluster real, and not designed on paper," Antsev said.

Commenting on the timeframe of the cluster development, he said that is should appear by 2017. "I think that in two years it will be launched. We could launch it already now, but sanctions have affected this process and additional issue have arisen that need to be solved," said the group’s director general.

Antsev added that the Russian Primorsky region has a rather serious competence centre, created on the Far Eastern University base, which was presented to the Russian president last year when he visited the Far East.
