MOSCOW, May 18. /TASS/. The Kremlin on Monday refused to comment on the marriage of a Chechen district police chief to a 17-year old girl, which took place in Grozny on May 16.
"Weddings are not our concern," Kremlin spokesman Dmitry Peskov told reporters.
A number of Russian media reported earlier that 17-year old Luiza Goilabiyeva was allegedly being forced to marry Nazhud Guchigov, the 46-year old chief of the Nozhai-Yurt district police department.
Chechen leader Ramzan Kadyrov who was present at the wedding said media reports " full of lies".
