MAKHACHKALA, May 17. /TASS/. A security alert regime was announced on Sunday morning in Dagestan’s two districts, a representative of the National Anti-Terror Committee told TASS.
"At 10a.m. the security alert was announced in the Kurakh and Suleiman-Stal districts in the republic," the representative said. "We are searching for militants to eliminate them."
The police in the Kurakh district said on May 15 some unidentified men kidnapped a local forester.
"Later on, the man was found shot dead, and his Niva car was found in the Suleiman-Stal district. Investigation of the criminal case on murder of the forester was the reason for the security alert regime," the police said. "According to the early information we have, the man was killed by militants."
Dagestan’s investigative authorities confirm the murder and opened criminal case.
