Moscow seeing no prospects for reactivation of Russia-US presidential commission

"Progress of real business means much more to us and we think there's an opportunity to move ahead in a number of area even in the absence of a fully functioning presidential commission," Ryabkov said

VIENNA, May 15. /TASS/. Prospects for reactivation of the Russia-U.S. presidential commission are nowhere in sight at the moment, Deputy Foreign Minister Sergey Ryabkov told reporters on Friday.

"I don't see any prospects for this," he said. "We gave an exhaustive answer to what happened (during U.S. Secretary of Stat John Kerry's stay) in Sochi when Foreign Minister Sergey Lavrov and John Kerry went out to the media upon the end of a meeting with President Vladimir Putin."

"We're not in a pursuit of emblems of some or other form of activity," he said. "Progress of real business means much more to us and we think there's an opportunity to move ahead in a number of area even in the absence of a fully functioning presidential commission," Ryabkov said.
