More than 100 inmates stage disorder at correctional facility in Russia

No one was injured in the incident, no physical force or special measures were used against the prisoners

UFA, May 13. /TASS/. Prisoners have again staged disorder at a correctional facility in the city of Salavat to hamper investigation, Federal Penitentiary Service’s Ufa department press service said on Wednesday.

"A group of around 100 convicts tried to hamper the legal actions of the administration. They shattered glass, gathered on the square, part of them climbed to the roof of the dorms," the press service said. "The prisoners demanded not to transfer suspects in organization of mass disorders for investigation," it added.

No one was injured in the incident, no physical force or special measures were used against the prisoners.

This is the second incident over the last week. On May 10, more than 100 convicts staged protests. Several fights broke out, while prisoners called on other inmates to join the disorder and damage property.
