VLADIVOSTOK, May 13. /TASS/. A plucky 85-year-old pensioner sprung into action to detain an armed thief attacking a woman neighbour in the Russian Far East city of Vladivostock, local police said on Wednesday.
The 30-year-old culprit threatened the woman with an air gun, demanding money as she left her apartment, according to a police statement.
But on hearing commotion as the woman managed to break loose and flee, the brave pensioner went on the attack, securing the offender while other neighbours called the police, said an incident report.
Police say the man’s courage will be rewarded for seizing the thief, who has already admitted his guilt.
