MOSCOW, May 13. /TASS/. Some paratroop units based near Ivanovo and Ulyanovsk, participating in a surprise test of the Collective Security Organization’s rapid reaction force, are being airlifted to the area of the exercise in Tajikistan, the Defense Ministry said on Wednesday.

"On Tuesday, airborne units of the Ivanovo and Ulyanovsk force, organic to the CSTO Collective Rapid Reaction Force, were alerted for a designated mission and redeployment of some forces to the territory of Tajikistan," the Defense Ministry’s press-office said.

CSTO press secretary Vladimir Zainetdinov told TASS earlier on Tuesday that the Collective Rapid Reaction Force was placed on high alert. The Collective Rapid Reaction Force comprises troop units from Russia, Armenia, Belarus, Kazakhstan, Kyrgyzstan and Tajikistan.
