MOSCOW, May 9. /TASS/. The parade on May 9 in Moscow is an important international event, the UN’s Secretary General Ban Ki-moon said in an exclusive interview with TASS First Deputy Director General Mikhail Gusman on the Victory Day.
"I appreciate President Vladimir Putin for inviting me and organising this historic military parade."
"This is a historic day, commemorating the 70th anniversary of the victorious end of the Second World War," he said. "This is not just a military parade, this is an occasion, where all the leaders and people of the world recommit ourselves for peace and prosperity, for human rights."
It is most important "that people could live without fear of a war, without hatred.".
