MAKHACHKALA, April 27. /TASS/. A leader of a gang operating in Khasavyurt has been liquidated in Russia’s North Caucasus republic of Dagestan, a source in the law enforcement told TASS on Monday.
The gang leader rendered armed resistance to law enforcers. "On Monday, in the Oktyabrskoye settlement in the Khasavyurtdistrict of Dagestan, law enforcers tried to detain the leader of a gang operating in Khasavyurt Khasmagomed Charinov. He opened fire and was killed by retaliatory fire," the source said.
No one from law enforcers received any injuries. The gang leader possessed an AKS-74U assault rifle.
"After searching the house of the killed militant, [law enforcers] found arms, ammunition and a bomb that exploded when [specialists] tried to demine it. No one was killed or injured in the incident, but the house collapsed as a result of the explosion," the source said.
