MOSCOW, April 23. /TASS/. Public prosecutor has asked Moscow City’s Presnya district court to sentence the former chief of the Defence Ministry’s ownership relations department, Yevgeniya Vassilyeva, to eight years in a penal colony for involvement in the embezzlement of property worth 3 billion rubles ($ 57 million).

In addition to it, he asked for revoking Vassilyeva's status of the companion of the Order of Honor and imposing a penalty of a million rubles ($19,000) on her.

Simultaneously, the prosecutor asked the judges to take account of the fact the defendants had compensated for the damage amounting to 2.2 billion ($ 41.6 million).
