Russia delivers humanitarian aid to Donetsk, Luhansk

More than 120 trucks delivered 1,400 tonnes of humanitarian cargos, including gifts for World War II veterans on the occasion of the 70th anniversary of Victory over Nazi Germany

MOSCOW, April 23. /TASS/. The Russian Emergencies Ministry's 25th convoy has delivered humanitarian aid to Donetsk and Luhansk in eastern Ukraine, the ministry's crisis management centre said on Thursday.

More than 120 trucks delivered 1,400 tonnes of humanitarian cargos, including foodstuffs, essentials, medicines, clothes, firefighting equipment and gifts for World War II veterans on the occasion of the 70th anniversary of Victory over Nazi Germany.

Since mid-August 2014, Russia has delivered more than 31,500 tonnes of humanitarian cargoes to Donetsk and Luhansk.
