Russia continues to assist Abkhazia and South Ossetia in developing international ties

MOSCOW, April 22. /TASS /. Russia promotes the establishment of Abkhazia and South Ossetia as modern states, says the Russian Foreign Ministry’s annual performance report for 2014 published on its website.

"Moscow continues to assist the establishment of Abkhazia and South Ossetia as modern democratic countries, the development of their international relations and social and economic recovery," the document says.

"On November 24, 2014, Russia and Abkhazia signed an Agreement on Alliance and Strategic Partnership," the Russian Foreign Ministry reminded. "On March 18, 2015, a Treaty on Alliance and Integration between Russia and South Ossetia has been signed."
