MOSCOW, April 21. /TASS/. Russians are optimistic about the current state of affairs in the country, as follows from a VTSIOM opinion poll published on Tuesday.
A record-high 83% of those questioned by the national pollster offered positive comments regarding the state of affairs in the country. In 2010 the rate was lower, 57%. Positive attitudes showed the fastest growth at the beginning of 2015. In the meantime, the share of unfavorable comments has shrunk over the past five years to 13% from 35%.
As for private affairs, Russians display still greater degree of satisfaction: 89% are optimistic about their lives, in contrast to 75% in 2010. Negative comments have declined to 8% from 20%.
On March, 28-29 VTSIOM questioned an audience of 1,600 men and women of age in 46 territories of Russia. The statistical error margin was no higher than 3.5%.
