Russian, Chilean foreign ministers to hold talks April 20 in Moscow

The ministers will consider a relevant set of issues as part of preparation for the 8th meeting of the intergovernmental Russian-Chilean commission on trade and economic cooperation

MOSCOW, April 18. /TASS/. Chilean Foreign Minister Heraldo Munoz will visit Moscow on April 19-20 and hold talks with his Russian counterpart Sergey Lavrov on Monday, the Russian Foreign Ministry said in a statement Saturday.

"One of the important items on the agenda is discussion of bilateral trade and economic cooperation, where Russia and Chile have a considerable unused potential, including for development of interaction in the spheres of the power industry, the oil and gas sector, the mining industry, high-tech developments, including nano-and space technologies," the ministry said.

The ministers will consider a relevant set of issues as part of preparation for the 8th meeting of the intergovernmental Russian-Chilean commission on trade and economic cooperation scheduled for October 27-28, 2015 in the Chilean capital Santiago.
