Black Sea Fleet ships drill marines landing in Crimea — Defense Ministry

MOSCOW, April 17. /TASS/. Russian Black Sea Fleet’s (BSF) large landing ships have landed marines on the coast of Crimea during manoeuvres, BSF spokesman Captain 2nd Rank Nikolay Voskresensky said on Friday.

"The BSF Tsezar Kunikov and Nikolay Filchenkov large landing ships in the area of the Opuk naval landing range near Feodosiya conducted a special tactical exercise (within a single-ship operation drill at sea) for over-the-beach landing of military equipment and personnel of the Black Sea Fleet’s separate Marines Brigade," he said.

According to him, he marines will take part in a field exercise of the brigade units.

In addition, the Tsezar Kunikov warship will conduct gun practice at sea and aerial targets and will also fire the shipborne multiple launch rocket system Grad on onshore targets.

In addition, the Pytlivy patrol boat and the Ivan Golubets and Kovrovets ocean minesweepers are taking part in the Black Sea naval drills.
