MOSCOW, April 15. /TASS/. Russia’s Emergencies Ministry has completed the formation of the 24th humanitarian aid convoy for Donbas that consists of more than 120 trucks with over 1,400 tons of cargos, the ministry’s national crisis management center said on Wednesday.
"The formation of the convoy has been completed on the territory of the Donskoy rescue center of the Emergencies Ministry. All the vehicles have been loaded, are in good repair and have undergone maintenance. The drivers have received additional instructions on driving in emergency situations," a representative of the center said.
The convoy will deliver foodstuffs, essentials, textbooks, seeds for the spring sowing campaign and also construction materials to Donetsk and Luhansk, in eastern Ukraine. The cargos have come to the southern Russia’s Rostov region from other regions.
Since August 2014, Russia has delivered more than 30,000 tons of important humanitarian cargos to Donbas.
