Russian dance school shut down after scandal with twerking underage girls video

The video called "Bees and Winnie the Pooh" was posted on YouTube on Sunday and has already garnered around 5 million views and thousands of comments

ORENBURG, April 14. /TASS/. A dance school in the southern Urals city of Orenburg has been temporarily shut down after a video reportedly showing underage girls performing a provocative twerking dance went viral on YouTube, a local deputy mayor said on Tuesday.

The video called "Bees and Winnie the Pooh" was posted on YouTube on Sunday and has already garnered around 5 million views and thousands of comments.

The dance show, which took place in January, caused uproar on the Internet with many users demanding to punish employees of the Kredo modern dance school, which admits children over four years old.

Orenburg deputy mayor Valentina Snatenkova said children should not be allowed to perform twerking dances.

The Orenburg Investigative Committee and Prosecutor's Office have launched checks into the incident. The city's children rights commissioner has also joined the probe.
