A military depot is on fire in Russia's Trans-Baikal Territory

MOSCOW, April 13. /TASS/. A forest fire has spread to the territory of a military depot in the Lesnoi Gorodok community, the Chita Region of the Trans-Baikal Territory, local authorities have told TASS.

"A fire is on in the territory of the military base. Local people are scared and panicking. Residents are leaving their homes. They have been told to pack bags and keep documents handy," the local administration said.

According to some evidence the depot is a store of flares and shells for sub-barrel grenade launchers.

There have been no comments from the Emergencies Ministry office for the Trans-Baikal Territory yet.
