Russian deputy PM slams former defense minister for Vostochny spaceport construction lag

UGLEGORSK, April 6. /TASS/. Russia’s Deputy Prime Minister Dmitry Rogozin has accused the former chiefs of the Defense Ministry of exercising poor control of the Vostochny spaceport construction project.

"Criminal cases are opened. Mostly they involve personalities who were attracted to this construction site under the former defense minister. Some of them have been detained. As a matter of fact, there was no control. A favorable environment for embezzlement was created," Rogozin said after a conference at the space sight.

"A thief belongs in a jail. The spaceport must be built. These two tasks may be addressed in parallel," he said.
