Russian foreign minister, Slovakian PM meet in Bratislava

BRATISLAVA, April 4. /TASS/. Slovakia’s Prime Minister Robert Fico and Russia’s Foreign Minister Sergei Lavrov are meeting in Bratislava on Saturday.

Before the meeting, the Russian minister said he was planning to discuss with the prime minister economic cooperation issues. Speaking about the past meeting with Slovakia’s President Andrej Kiska, he said they had discussed several bilateral topics.

"We have spoken about the liberation of Bratislava, Slovakia, about our combat brotherhood, about the necessity to avoid any aggravations in the European continent," Lavrov said.

The topic of Ukraine was also a key issue, he added.

The Russian foreign minister is visiting Bratislava on Saturday, where will take place celebrations of the 70th anniversary of the liberation of the city by the Soviet Army.
