NOVO-OGAREVO, March 27. /TASS/. Internet entrepreneurs should work actively with Russia’s defense structures, space agency Roscosmos and state nuclear energy corporation Rosatom, Russian President Vladimir Putin said on Friday.

Putin met with Internet entrepreneurs to discuss the support for this business in Russia. The Russian leader is meeting with the businessmen whose projects have been backed by the Internet Initiatives Development Fund (IIDF).

Putin said the country’s defence complex receives "serious funds" estimated at some 20 trillion rubles ($347 billion) and up to 3 trillion rubles is envisaged for its re-equipment.

The Russian leader said he has recently met with young scientists "who have achieved brilliant results in the defense sphere."

"They have set up new teams and obtained the world-class results. Many people already understand this and will soon understand this more tangibly," Putin said adding that Internet entrepreneurs should also cooperate with young scientists.

"This defense sector which receives great funds needs to have access to civilian spheres. This gives a remarkable synergistic effect when all this is functioning together," the president said.
