Putin dismisses Sakhalin Region governor due to loss of trust — Kremlin

The move comes three weeks after the official was charged with large-scale bribery

MOSCOW, March 25. /TASS/. Russian President Vladimir Putin removed from office Sakhalin Region’s Governor Alexander Khoroshavin due to loss of trust, the Kremlin press service said on Wednesday.

Russia’s investigators have charged Khoroshavin with bribery.

Amur Region governor Kozhemyako has been appointed acting head of the Sakhalin Region.
