MOSCOW, March 17. /TASS/. Foreign Ministers of Russia and Venezuela Sergey Lavrov and Delcy Eloina Rodriguez Gomez have held a phone conversation on Tuesday, which was initiated by the Venezuelan side.
"The two top diplomats have discussed a number of pressing issues pertaining to the bilateral relations, including the schedule of the forthcoming Russian-Venezuelan political contacts."
Sergey Lavrov has "reiterated Russia’s support and solidarity with the people and government of Venezuela who are experiencing difficulties of socio-economic nature further exacerbated by the difficult situation on the global energy markets and ongoing US political and sanctions pressure," the Russian Foreign Ministry said.
