SIMFEROPOL, March 17. /TASS/. An art studio of Russian web-designer Artemy Lebedev has designed a logo for Crimea. Its concept and situations in which the logo can be used are described on the website of the designer company which created the logo.

"Writers, poets and artists often paid tribute to Crimea; millions of tourists annually came to Crimea to enjoy its warm sea, fragrant wines and beautiful landscapes. A year after Crimea's reunification with Russia Crimea was given a new logo and a system of visual identifications," the designer studio company said on its website.

It also released a copy of a letter by Minister of Tourism and Health Resorts of Crimea Yelena Yurchenko of October 14, 2014 in which the minister asked the web-designer to look into possible versions of a new logo. "Many web-designers have already offered their assistance to us gratis, but we would like you to do us a favor and suggest an idea of a new brand for Crimea which could be used in the infrastructure of Crimea, on the labels of Crimea-made products and which should symbolize an original tourist product of high quality," the minister said in the letter. The cost of the logo has not been disclosed. All TASS was told at the Crimean Ministry of Tourism and Health Resorts was that the new brand "is the vision of its author".

Last December the government of Crimea adopted a program of the development of Crimea until the year 2017. The cost of the program, which envisages expenditures on the marketing and image-making politics, was estimated at around 9.4 billion rubles.
