MOSCOW, March 17. /TASS/. Russia's Emergencies Ministry on Tuesday apologised for two firefighters who took a selfie photograph with a burning shopping mall in Kazan, capital of the Volga area'sTatarstan republic.
It was published online on Friday, two days after the fire at the Admiral shopping mall left 17 people dead.
"Ministry personnel, firefighters and rescuers who perform their professional duties risking their lives should not be judged by this folly," the ministry said.
"Firefighters rescued some 700 people from the burning mall," it added. Authorities in Tatarstan said that the selfie lovers had been identified and would face disciplinary action.
