Spokesman claims Putin keeps in touch with investigation into Nemtsov murder

No official reports can be released from any other departments, including the Kremlin sources, while the investigation continues

MOSCOW, March 17. /TASS/. President Putin has been regularly informed about the results of an investigation into the assassination of Boris Nemtsov, Presidential spokesman Dmitry Peskov told journalists on Tuesday.

"The president has been regularly informed about the progress of the investigation; as you all know, a team of the investigators was created on President Putin's personal instructions," the spokesman said.

"While the investigation continues no official reports can be released from any other departments, including the Kremlin sources. It is out of the question. Naturally, the investigators make certain statements if they think it necessary," Peskov said.

Boris Nemtsov, a Russian opposition politician and a lawmaker of the Yaroslavl Region Duma (legislature), was shot dead in Moscow, just a stone’s throw from the Kremlin, overnight to February 28.
