Russian FM stresses necessity to stop blockade of Ukraine’s eastern regions

Lavrov voiced concern over Kiev’s delaying decisions linked with the implementation of its political, humanitarian and socio-economic liabilities under Minsk peace deals

MOSCOW, March 13. /TASS/. Russia’s Foreign Minister Sergey Lavrov had a telephone conversation with his German counterpart Frank-Walter Steinmeier to exchange views on the current situation in Ukraine, the Russian foreign ministry said on Friday.

"The sides stressed the necessity of complete implementation of the Minsk agreements of February 12, 2015 by both parties. Lavrov voiced concern over Kiev’s delaying decisions linked with the implementation of its political, humanitarian and socio-economic liabilities under these agreements," the ministry said. "The Russian minister also underscored the necessity to immediately stop blockade of Ukraine’s south-eastern regions and resume banking services to people living in these regions with technical support from Germany and France."
