KAZAN, March 13. /TASS/. The death toll in Kazan’s Admiral trade center fire has risen to nine, the Russian Emergencies Ministry said on Thursday.
"At 01:15 am [local time] the ninth body was recovered in the left wing of the building in the area near the fourth exit," head of the press service of Russia’s Emergencies Ministry in Tatarstan Andrey Rodygin told TASS.
Rodygin noted that the three bodies recovered from the debris in the last hours were found in the left wing.
"All bodies were found in the area near the fourth entrance in the left wing of the building," he said. Wednesday’s fire in the trade center started in a cafe located to the right side of the exit, and many salesmen tried to save goods through the fourth exit, Rodygin said. "No one expected the walls to collapse everywhere," the press service head noted.
