Russia, Abkhazia sign memorandum on coordinated foreign policy

MOSCOW, March 11. /TASS/. Russian and Abkhazian Foreign Ministers Sergey Lavrov and Vyacheslav Chirikba have signed a memorandum to coordinate foreign policy "in conditions of a complex situation in the world".

The memorandum, signed following talks in Moscow on Wednesday, "would contribute to the solution of this problem", Russia’s top diplomat said.

Moscow pledged political assistance to help Russia's South Caucasus neighbour strengthen its international profile, Lavrov said.

Russia would help Abkhazia train its diplomatic personnel at the MGIMO Moscow State University of International Relations and the Diplomatic Academy affiliated to Russia's Foreign Ministry.
